Why BME? I love that we work in groups to solve real world medical problems in our classes. We are able to come up with solutions that could have lasting effects in people's lives. Fun Fact: My favorite food is sandwiches.

Why BME? I wanted an education that would prepare me for a career in innovating medical devices where I could incorporate engineering, design, and business. I wanted a guarantee that I'd have a job set in stone before graduation. I'm only 3 years in, but I'll be doing my third internship this summer! Seems like a pretty good investment to me. Fun Fact: I love nice cars and I've been to 15 different countries!

Why BME? After making the decision not to be pre-health, I chose BME which allows me to pursue a broad range of careers within healthcare while still getting to make a change. Fun Fact: I had seven wisdom teeth.

Why BME? BME is a combination of applied math and science and compassion for others. These are the segments of my personality that shine the brightest. BME is a perfect fit for me. Fun Fact: I am a semi-professional fisherman.

Why BME? The thing I love most about BME is the multitude of paths each BME student can take over their time at Georgia Tech, and yet we all have a common goal in advancing the field of medicine. For my whole life, I've been drawn to the field of medicine. My senior year of high school we shadowed doctors around our town twice a week, and around that time, I knew that a major that combined physics, chemistry, and biology into one would be a perfect fit for me. Fun Fact: I'm an Eagle Scout.

Why BME? I chose BME because I would learn how to combine engineering principles with anatomy and biology to contribute to the medical field. Fun Fact: I love to go hiking with my four dogs when I am home.

Why BME?I love that we get to know other BME students really well because we work in so many groups for projects. We are able to build support systems and help each other out because we all go through the same processes and projects. I decided to do BME because I have always enjoyed Biology, and Biomedical Engineering allows me to combine my interest for math and engineering with Biology. Fun Fact: I love strawberries, Cinque Terre, and taking pictures of flowers.

Why BME? I love that the major encompasses so many different engineering fields but all with the an emphasis on physiology and medicine. I love the collaborative environment. I love that my major stresses innovation, design, and communication. Fun Fact: I was born in London!

Why BME? I love the fact that BME gives me the opportunity to pursue my own desires; BME gives us all of the tools we need for a variety of opportunities after our undergraduate days. Whether you want to go on to higher education or go into industry right away, BME is the premier major to ensure a successful career. For these reasons, I chose BME. Fun Fact: I love soccer and have been to the last two World Cups!

Why BME? I always wanted to be involved in healthcare, but when I decided I didn't want to be a doctor I wasn't sure what to major in. When I heard about BME at Tech I realized it was the perfect place for me. I love that everything I do builds towards helping people! Fun Fact: One of my siblings is 20 years younger than me.

Why BME? I love the hands-on nature of BME, and the fact that you get to solve real-life problems that pertain to the medical field. Fun Fact: I've ridden an elephant before

Why BME? I love how BME combines physics, math, biology, and chemistry so well. I was pretty indecisive in what my favorite science was during high school. BME didn't make me choose. The curriculum is challenging, yet so incredibly interesting as well. Fun Fact: I got to meet and take a selfie with former President Bill Clinto

Why BME? The best part about BME is the collaboration that happens between the students and faculty. From my amazing peers to the accomplished professors, BMEs get to interact with some amazing people. Fun Fact: I'm afraid of escalators

Why BME? Volunteering at the veteran's hospital in high school made me realize the need to make and improve biomedical devices that can improve the quality of life for people, especially veterans who have sacrificed limbs and have a huge need for these devices. I want to make devices that are smoothly integrated with the human body that actually feels like an extension of the body. Fun Fact: I was a Georgia All-State Pianist in High School. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5ojmKCNPWU
